In the coaching profession, people like to know their coach knows what they are talking about. As head coach of Fatdog coaching I will give you a brief resume of mine. I started coaching athletes in 1995 after spending years competing as a cyclist and triathlete at national and international level. I came to the realisation that I wasn’t going to make it a career due to my love of life outside of sport. But also released my potential to motivate others. After many years (and quite a few courses) I am now confident in my abilities as a coach. I have coached at all levels with success and am a current Triathlon NZ high performance coach. I have been lucky enough to coach Sam Warriner who has continually improved over the years. She and I attended the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Under my tutelage Sam won many world cup races and finish 3rd at the world champs.
At the other end of the scale, a great buzz for me was seeing an athlete finish a half marathon when, just 6 months previous, they couldn’t run 5km. Enough about me, give Fatdog coaching a go and I will promise you we will put all our knowledge in to helping you achieve.
